XXVII COMPASSO D’ORO ADI - CAREER AWARDS

Rosy Vago has been awarded with Compasso d’Oro Career Award, by ADI, Associazione per il Design Industriale. “A long love affair with quality design, a story full of affection such as that for her husband Antonio and sons Davide and Simone, a story full of deep values such as friendship, honesty, and consistency. A long story full of courage, that helped them interpret and anticipate the needs of an increasingly global market” the jury’s motivation.

Rosy Vago has managed Antonio Vago Arredamenti since 1964, with her husband, founded in 1956 and heir to a craft business that began in the 1920s. In 1981 she opened a showroom Barlassina (Monza and Brianza), with objects by Le Corbusier harmonizing with sculptures by Fausto Melotti and paintings by Valentino Vago. In 1982, Vago Forniture began collaborating with the most important financial companies in Milan, realizing in 1987 the furnishings of the Milan Stock Exchange. Rosy, a passionate collector of furnishing objects, has always managed professional relationships with architects, designers, and artists, sponsoring cultural initiatives including a book on the Asnago and Vender architecture studio (1986).
