During the Salone del Mobile in Milan, FENDI presents unique pieces created in collaboration with Fernando and Humberto Campana. In a world premiere, the creativity of Bell and their idea of contemporary luxury meet the wonderful and ironic universe of BUGS BAG FENDI, creating "THE ARMCHAIR OF THOUSAND EYES". More than 100 BAG BUGS are specially made by craftsmen of FENDI in different sizes, colors and expressions and then assembled by the Campana brothers to give shape to an armchair, both in construction and aesthetics extravagant, recalls the 'Banquete', a their most famous creations, consisting of a combination of fun plush animal-shaped hand-sewn onto a canvas supported by a stainless steel structure.
"I know and I follow Fernando and Humberto Campana for several years. We share the same passion for creativity and love for Brazil, which originally was a source of 'inspiration for the Bag Bugs. I came to think of nature as an armchair, as their use of objects in unexpected ways, "said Silvia Venturini Fendi.
In this special work of the Committee on FENDI, the Bell chose to give 'THE ARMCHAIR OF THOUSAND EYES' a touch of luxury finishing structure with brass and gold colored kidassia using fur, Mongolia, Shearling and Rabbit.
"When I saw the Bag Bugs for the first time, these little monsters of charm with FENDI, I thought it would be perfect to create a unique chair. A year later, it happened just like that, thanks to Silvia Venturini Fendi that got me involved in the project. E 'was perfect! As if the universe conspired in my favor. "Says Humberto Campana.
The relationship between FENDI and the design world is enduring and now recognized.
A link through which the Roman fashion house continues to support the vital synergy that comes from the relationship between contemporary creativity and various private commissions since 2008. This was the year of FENDI Design Talks at Design Miami which hosted nine influential international designers also included Fernando and Humberto Campana, then awarded "Designer of the Year".
From then on, exchange and cultural dialectic between traditional craftsmanship and Rome - which is expressed in the well known master FENDI in the processing of fur - and the creative vision of the two Brazilian designers has developed unexpectedly.
In 2013 it was proposed an original series of unique design, including a cabinet, a chair-throne, a chair and a chandelier, using, in an unusual and distinctive, fur kidassia as the main material.
In 2014, the marble table "Basoli" the Campana brothers - by their ironic collection Brazilian Baroque - has been set as the coffee table for the room's ready-to-wear of the new Fendi flagship store in New Bond Street in London.
Combining strong surrealist aesthetic vocabulary of Brazilian designers with the style of ironic BUGS FENDI BAG, "THE ARMCHAIR OF THOUSAND EYES", as well as previous work of this collaboration, recalling a sense of wonder and surprise, which corresponds perfectly to ' ironic approach to experimentation that has always characterized the search for FENDI in the fur.
