april 2014 - The co-operation with Christophe Pillet is renewed, after the
precious collection of units last year - the desk Novelist, the sideboard Long
Island, the small table Deck and the bench Fence based on the harmonic
contact between treated metal and consistent and precious woods. On the
occasion of the 2014 exhibition, Pillet amazes with a series of products
matching handicraft manufacturing tradition and new materials and finishes. The
perfect matching of materials stands out for the console Novel, elegant and
vintage at the same time, with chromed-metal tubular legs in contract with the
top in noce canaletto, natural but precious at the same time. A real object
holding tray covered in leather is hidden under the top: an interesting proposal
of luxury materials and functions, handicraft processing and modern use.
Galerist is named after the way objects are exhibited in space: a cabinet, designed from a classic inspiration and reinvented to become a contemporary furnishing and design unit. The project is finely made according to handicraft techniques and therefore extremely luxurious still discreet and informally linear at the same time.
Pillet profits from glass at 360° as to provide for a scene where to exhibit objects and memories, as to appreciate their value, wherever you are. The four walls, in fact, are in extra-light glass, offering a complete view on the inside. The door hinges are a function but aesthetic design detail as well, in treated metal to get a full and deep colour. The small window frame is in aluminium, with welding duly studied to make the object standing out.
Ethereal and light shapes for Mansion a small collection consisting of a small table for the sofa front and high table behind the sofa. Pillet shaped a thin base in bronze metal supporting a highly technological stiff tank, destined to hold. The sliding to in precious thermally treated oak add beauty to functionality: the hidden mechanism allows it to sliding thus becoming 3D and superimposing surfaces, materially and visually as well. The same mechanism is used for the small table behind the sofa, a console supported by a metal structure enriched by two crossed crossbeams, contrastingly and harmoniously fitted to the top.
